I hear people saying that we are going to win the lottery because we got lots and lots of people who “split” tickets.
they think they are going to win the lottery. right. do they not realize the chances??
you have a better chance of being struck by lightening then choosing 6 numbers between 1-49 that are the same ... let's do the math
49! - 43! = 10,068,347,520 ... so a 1 in 10 billion chance. i've read that the chances of being struck by lightning are about 1 in 600,000 or 700,000 ... let's say 1 million to be safe ...
million to 1 ...
10 billion to 1 ... every single person on the planet could buy a lotto 6/49 ticket and a winner would not be guaranteed...
by my math you are 10,000 times more likely to be struck by lightning then winning the lottery. and by the way how many people do you know that have been struck by lightning?

but somebodys gotta win the lottery...and there definitely less than 10 billion tickets (esp since theres only 6 and a half billion people.) hey...i just wanna play the bingo one:( i want to scratch all the squares!
I dont know anyone that has been struck by lightning but I do know at least 3 people that have won the lottery.
